BALLET FUNDAMENTALS WITH ANNA COLLINS

This program gives you a taste of classical and contemporary ballet with exercises and sequences that will challenge your strength, stamina, and balance. You will be led through a centre warm up, centre adage (slow and sustained movement sequence), allegro (jumping sequence), pirouette (turns), and closing choreography. This program is a taste of all the elements of a ballet class giving you a chance to play with your creativity and artistry while working on the principles of pilates as a guide.

  • BALLET DAY 5 WITH ANNA COLLINS

    Day 5: Challenging you further, it is time to combine everything you have learned; balance, strength, coordination, flow, breath, musicality, and artistry. Adding a couple new exercises into the mix for further strength training.

  • BALLET DAY 4 WITH ANNA COLLINS

    Day 4: Flowing through the previous sequences we expand on our choreography. With minimal breaks this class challenges your ability to maintain stamina while holding onto the fundamental techniques learned in the previous class.

  • BALLET DAY 3 WITH ANNA COLLINS

    Day 3: Elaborating on the previous class it is time to work on retaining the information and adding your own artistic style. Once you feel comfortable with each exercise, it is time to push yourself and add in more eyeline and personal artistry.

  • BALLET DAY 2 WITH ANNA COLLINS

    Day 2: Expanding on day 1, we continue our fundamental work with added port de bras (movements of the arms) and body positions diving deeper into flow.

  • BALLET DAY 1 WITH ANNA COLLINS

    Day 1: In this class you will be introduced to the fundamentals of ballet. Within the class you will go through a center "barre" series, an adage, and allegro. You will also be introduced to a sequence that will become choreography by the end of this program.
